My cousin Lindsey and I, the bridesmaids!
This past weekend we went to Paducah for my cousin Bethney's wedding. It was a beautiful wedding and we had a great time visiting with family. I was exhausted on Sunday and ended up taking a 5 hour nap.
Today Jonathan and his mom took Cariann to see Dr. Mercer for allergy testing. This wasn't our original appointment they had a cancellation and could get us in today but I couldn't go because two other women were off at work, so Cariann's daddy and Mamaw took her. So the results came and Cariann is allergic to mold, wheat, strawberries, tomatoes, and watermelon???? Anyway the only down side about me not going is I don't feel that informed about what I need to do change etc. She has given us a prescription allergy medicine, and none of the allergies are "life threatening" we are supposed to go back in 3 months for retesting. I would appreciate advice from anyone, I guess our hardest obstacle will be wheat because it seems to be in many items!

I feel for you Whitney!!! We've never had to deal with wheat but I know from some of the kids in Noah's allergy group that it is challenging to avoid. Let me know if I can help you at all!
Oh heavens! I didn't know people could be allergic to strawberries or watermelon.
When I saw that you had posted, I was so excited!!!! Miss you and all the family....enough said. You look very pretty for the wedding, and for once(lol)don't have a thing to say about allergies...we are just allergic to the "normal" stuff. After someone close, like the neighbors, mow grass, if Spencer is outside for over 5 minutes, his eyes are watering, sneezing...I just tell him to take a benadryl(sp) and hush...so lol not much help. love ya
Sounds like the wheat allergy may be a challenge at times. I will tell you though that I was tested as a teen and the test showed I was allergic to things like corn, tomato, and strawberries - and I had eaten them all my life. I still do and have NEVER noticed anything after eating them. ??
